1920s Homestead Grays Negro League Baseball Team Original TYPE 1 photo with Raymond Mo Harris

Original 8x10" glossy photo depicting 13 team members in full uniform posed on a ball field. An early version of the 1920s Homestead Grays is pictured here, highlighted by the presence of Raymond "Mo" Harris, a defensive infield whiz who would go on to become one of the most prominent umpires in Negro League baseball history, chosen to participate in several All-Star contests. In addition to Harris, other team members that played with the Grays during this era are: Jasper Washington, Lefty Williams, Hap Allen and Willis Moody. This early 1920s ball club was the predecessor to the soon-to-be powerhouse team of the late 1920s-early 1930's featuring future National Baseball Hall of Famers: Josh Gibson, Oscar Charleston, Judy Johnson and "Smokey Joe" Williams. Obvious wear. Noticeable creases. 1" piece of clear tape at top center. Slightest trim on right margin which also has thin clear tape strip. Top left corner has .5x1" pc. missing. Other wear and tear, just Good overall, but the most important thing, the image, remains bold and distinct.
