This crystal-clear photo has the original paper caption attached to the back dated 12-14-1947 from a game in New York when the 2nd year AAFC teams, Cleveland Browns played the Yankees in a game played at Yankee Stadium.
Future Pro Football Hall of Famer and first African American to sign with an AAFC team, Bill Willis knocks over Yankees, halfback, Spec Sanders. Also seen in the photo is John Yonakor and Chet Adams of the Browns, as well as Jack Russell of the Yankees. The Browns won 14-3.
