The 1965 PGA Championship was the 47th PGA Championship, played August 12–15 at Laurel Valley Golf Club in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, a suburb southeast of Pittsburgh. Dave Marr won his only major championship, two strokes ahead of runners-up Billy Casper and Jack Nicklaus
Offered is A 1965 PGA Championship program (326 pages) signed by 39 PGA stars including 11 front cover signatures- Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Tommy Aaron, Vic Ghezzi (D. 1976), Steve Reid, Billy Capps, Billy Casper, Fred Wampler, Dave Marr (D. 1997), and four others, and by 28 on the autograph page (page 326) including Sam Snead, Tony Lema (D. 1966 at age 32 in a plane Crash), Doug Ford, Dale Douglass, Bob Charles, Al Geiberger, Bob McCallister, Dow Finsterwald, Julius Boros, Charles Sifford, Gary Player, and others. The autograph page is loose and exhibits heavy handling wear. The program does not have a back cover and also exhibits heavy wear. Overall Nm to Mint ink signatures. LOADED!!!
