The 1967 NBA All-Star Game was the 17th All-Star Game played January 10, 1967 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, California. The coaches were Red Auerbach, Boston Celtics (Eastern Conference) and Fred Schaus, Los Angeles Lakers (Western Conference). The Western Conference All-Stars defeated the Eastern Conference All-Stars, 135-120. The game featured the ejection of Red Auerbach, (who retired at the end of the previous season) head coach of the Eastern Conference, who became the only coach to be ejected in an All-Star Game. Rick Barry, the hometown hero; was named the game’s MVP.

The great part about this ticket is that it depicts the projected starters for the game (which we don’t believe was ever done before by the NBA). Pictured are Lucas, Havlicek, Chamberlain, Jones, Robertson, Rodgers, West, Thurmond, Howell, and MVP Rick Barry. Just think for $6 back in 1967, you could have attended the game!

To date, PSA has only encapsulated 5 ticket stubs from this game. This is one of 5 and was given an Authentic grade. This could be resubmitted for a numerical grade if you so wish. In our opinion, this ticket would rate an EX grade if it were raw.
