In a Major league career (as a player) that spanned from 1988 – 2005 (as a player), Lenny Harris is perhaps best known for holding the record of the most pinch hits in history with 212. He was a part of the 2000 NL Championship Mets team as well as the 2003 World Championship, Florida Marlins. Today he is the 3rd base coach with the Marlins.
The 2000 World Series featured the New York Mets against the New York Yankees. The Yankees would go on to win the series 4 games to 1. The Yankees were destined to win as this would be their 4th Championship in 5 years.
