Offered here is a set of 25 replica rings with a nearly identical design to the Balfour-manufactured rings that were presented to the players that were named a Top 50 All-Time player in 1996. Each non-gold ring weighs approximately 52 grams. The 25 players represented here are: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Nate Archibald, Charles Barkley, Rick Barry, Dave Bing, Larry Bird, Dave Cowens, Clyde Drexler, Julius Erving, Patrick Ewing, John Havlicek, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, Moses Malone, Kevin McHale, Earl Monroe, Shaquille O'Neal, Hakeem Olajuwon, Robert Parish, Scottie Pippen, David Robinson, John Stockton, Isiah Thomas and Bill Walton.
The top panel of each ring reads “NBA GREATEST PLAYERS” surrounding a silver-like basketball with “50” in relief. The left panel of each ring features the player name above the NBA 50th Anniversary logo and the player number below. The right panel of each ring reads “1946” and “1996” with the official NBA logo in the center. The inside of each ring is stamped “LGB SAMPLE”. Each ring is housed in its own wooden presentation box measuring 8” x 6” x 2-½”. Each ring box has an oval-shaped acrylic window that has been laser-engraved with the “NBA 50” logo and the player’s name. The hinge mechanisms on the Abdul-Jabbar and Bing ring boxes were slightly damaged in shipping. The rings are all in MINT condition.
