Super Bowl XXX was played on January 28, 1996 at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, AZ. At the time, it broke the record for the most watched sporting event ever on American television and the second most watched program of all time, trailing only to the series finale of M*A*S*H.
This was the third and last Super Bowl Championship of the 1990s Dallas Cowboys dynasty. Barry Switzer would coach the team to a 27-17 win over the AFC’s Pittsburgh Steelers. The Offensive Line was anchored by Right Tackle, Erik Williams.
This helmet exhibits serious battle scars. Dallas Cowboys Star decals can be found on the right and left side of the helmet along with the “COWBOYS” decal above the facemask as shown. There’s an original Riddell chin strap and Schutt facemask that show tremendous usage from the brutal crashing between Williams and opposing defensive linemen. The back of the shell displays the NFL sticker, warning label, and E. Williams dymotape on the rear. The interior of the helmet has all the original padding, special medical tape to pad the forehead area, an All American L sticker, and the warning label on the opposite side. It’s signed by Williams in black sharpie pen - “Worn in the Super Bowl! Erik Williams #79.”
Holding this historic helmet will likely trigger sound effects in your head from an NFL Films video as it’s a masterpiece from a Hall of Fame caliber offensive lineman!

Please note. We originally thought this was worn in Super Bowl XXVII as is listed on the COA shown here. However, upon further research, we have discovered that this was an error. The winning bidder will receive a COA from Erik Williams stating this was worn in Super Bowl XXX.
