Despite losing four prime seasons to World War II and another to a fractured wrist, Hank Greenberg still walloped 331 home runs, including 40 or more on four occasions. As the MVP in 1935, he drove in 170 runs for the pennant-winning Tigers. The slugging right-hander flourished again in 1937 driving in 183 runs. In 1938, he made a strong run at Babe Ruth's home-run record, finishing with 58. He hit .318 in four World Series with Detroit.

Hank Greenberg has signed this Official National League (Feeney) ball signed and centered across the Sweet Spot. Remember, he played a few years for the Pittsburgh Pirates. The contrast of Greenberg’s crisp, bold, red-sharpie signature is striking against its leather canvass which has been game-rubbed (and likely used)—thus accounting for the sphere's uniform and moderate sepia toning. The boldness and beauty of the signature is “eye-popping” from quite a distance, making it an ideal display piece!
