Jim Finks (D 1994) was an American football and Canadian football player, coach, and executive who developed the Vikings, Bears, and Saints - all teams with losing records into winners. He also played defensive back and quarterback for the Steelers from 1949-1955. New Orleans partisans salute Finks as the savior who brought the Saints their first winning season. Finks built perennial losers into playoffs and Super Bowl teams in a stellar career as one of football's most respected executives. He was posthumously elected to the Pro Football HOF.

Bud Grant (D. 2023) played in the NFL for the Philadelphia Eagles, 1950 NBA championship Minneapolis Lakers, was a 4 X Grey Cup Champion (CFL) coach, and took the Minnesota Vikings to 3 Super Bowls as their head coach. He is a member of the PRO Football HOF.

Joe Kapp (D. 2023) was an American football player, coach, and executive. He played college football as a quarterback for the California Golden Bears. Kapp played professionally in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Calgary Stampeders and the BC Lions and then in the National Football League (NFL) with the Minnesota Vikings and the Boston Patriots; with the Vikings, he led them to victory in the 1969 NFL Championship Game, the only league championship in team history. Kapp returned to his alma mater as head coach of the Golden Bears from 1982 to 1986. He was the general manager and president of the BC Lions in 1990.
