Larry MacPhail, Sr. (D. 1975) was an American lawyer and an executive and innovator in Major League Baseball (MLB). He served as an executive with several professional baseball teams, including the Cincinnati Reds, Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Yankees. MacPhail's sons and grandsons were also sports executives. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1978.

Offered is a One-page typed letter, dated January 3, 1936, signed by Hall of Fame executive Larry MacPhail. In his letter, on Cincinnati Reds letterhead, MacPhail writes to future Hall of Famer George Kelly regarding his contract for the upcoming season.
