Original 10x8 AP wire photo from October 1, 1961 of Roger Maris as he is heading to home plate after breaking Babe Ruth’s single season Home Run. Red Sox pitcher, Tracy Stallard is on the Mound. There is an arrow in the picture where it points to the lower stands in the right field, about 360 feet from the plate, where the ball hit. Two dated stamps on back october 5, 1961 and again October 2, 1986 (it was reused for the 25th anniversary of this feat). HISTORIC!!!
