Anthony Richard Conigliaro (d 1990 at age 45), nicknamed "Tony C" and "Conig", was a Major League Baseball outfielder and right-handed batter who played for the Boston Red Sox (1964–67, 1969–1970, 1975) and California Angels (1971). During the Red Sox "Impossible Dream" season of 1967, he was hit in the face by a pitch, causing a severe eye injury and derailing his career. Though he would make a dramatic comeback from the injury, his career was not the same afterwards. He was an All-Star in 1967, the 1969 AL Comeback Player of the Year, won the 1970 Hutch Award, and was the 1965 AL Home Run Champion.

Offered is a single signed MacGregor International League Baseball with George Sisler Jr. facsimile signature as President which dates the ball from 1966-early 70’s. Conigliaro wrote ”To Joe Best Wishes Tony Conigliaro.”

Super uncommon and sought after!
