He earned consensus All-American honors in 1950 and 1951, finished fourth and third in Heisman Trophy voting respectively, and led Kentucky to victories in the Sugar Bowl and Cotton Bowl. Drafted fourth overall by Green Bay in 1952, he later became the Boston Patriots' franchise quarterback from 1961-67, throwing for over 20,000 yards and earning three AFL All-Star selections. In 1966, he won AFL Comeback Player of the Year honors with 3,441 yards and 31 touchdowns. Known as "Gold Finger" for his holding skills, he finished his career with the New York Jets as Joe Namath's backup, earning a Super Bowl III ring. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1982.

We offer a very scarce payroll check from 1969 signed by Weeb Ewbank and Murray Rindner (D. 1978) on the front and Parilli on the back. Finding a Jets payroll check is extremely tough, but finding one made out to Joe Namath’s backup QB of Super Bowl III is a pretty cool find!
