Game Used Jerseys (Baseball and Football)The items listed below are all game usedDel Rice-Rice played in the major leagues for 17 years (1945-61), appearing in 1,309 games. The righthanded hitter played the bulk of his career for the St. Louis Cardinals (1945-55; 1960), where he was a regular or semi-regular from 1947-52. He finished his career as a reserve catcher for the Milwaukee Braves (1955-59), Chicago Cubs (1960), Baltimore Orioles (1960), and Los Angeles Angels (1961), hitting .237 with 79 home runs. Rice also had a brief career in the National Basketball League, playing 11 games for the Rochester Royals during the 1945-1946 season. Rice was a longtime member of the Angels' organization. After he played in their maiden '61 campaign, he was the first-base coach for the club (1962-66). He spent the 1967 season as a coach for the Cleveland Indians, but then returned to the Angels as a minor league manager and had success at the AAA level. In 1972, he spent a season as skipper of the Angels. We offer a 1972 California Angels jersey with McAuliffe size 44 tagging and year tag. Does not appear to have any alterations. A first-round draft choice of the California Angels in 1977, Wiggins was released, signed by the Dodgers, then drafted away by San Diego in 1980. Playing the outfield and first base in 1983, he set a Padres record with 66 stolen bases. Moving to second base, the switch hitter was the spark plug of the 1984 San Diego Padres with 70 steals and 106 runs scored; his 75 walks compensated for his .258 batting average. Drug involvement ended his San Diego career, but Baltimore hoped the Los Angeles native would solve its lead-off problems. Wiggins did not, and also fell into disfavor with manager Earl Weaver. As NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year (1999), Edgerrin James brought to his team, the Indianapolis Colts, much hope and ambition, and though 2005, the year he wore this game-used jersey and his last season with the Colts, turned out to be the best of seasons with the worst of ends (they would go on to win there first 13 games), this stellar running back totaled 9,226 yards, and holds the Colt's team record for most career total yards rushing. This jersey was worn by this popular back on Sept 11, 2005 vs. the Baltimore Ravens, and shows some game use. "05 50" is in the collar, and bottom of jersey has been cut, while there are no tags.
