The 1966 season turned out to be another pretty good season for Baltimore football. The Colts finished with a 9-5 record which put them in 2nd place in the Western Conference. The team won the Playoff Bowl which was a post-season game for 3rd place in the NFL (played from 1960-69).

Offered is a white Spalding Johnny Unitas model football with 37 signatures of members of the 1966 Baltimore Colts. Highlights include: Johnny Unitas, Raymond Berry, Jim Parker, Ordell Braase, Billy Ray Smith, Don Shinnick, Lenny Lyles, Jerry Logan, Alvin Haymond, Lou Michaels, Gary Cuozzo, Tom Matte, Bob Boyd, Mike Curtis, Bob Vogel, Jim Welch, Billy Ray Smith, Jimmy Orr, Lenny Moore, Alex Sandusky, Glenn Ressler, & Dick Syzmanski.

Sam Ball, Jackie Burkett, David Lee, and Dale Memmmelaar also appear on the ball. Their first year with the Colts was during the 1966 season. Neal Petties signature also adorns the ball during his last year with Baltimore, making this a 1966 ball. Signatures overall would rate 8-9’s. Some deflation, but mostly holding air. Great piece of history!

Letter of Authenticity from Richard Albersheim.
