Career Highlights: Hit .300+ five times, peaking at .330 in 1934. Drove in 90+ runs twice: 98 RBIs in 1934 and 93 in 1935. Member of the 1932 Cubs pennant-winning team, though went 0-for-7 in their World Series sweep by the Yankees. NOTABLY - MOORE WAS IN THE OUTFIELD WHEN BABE RUTH CALLED HIS SHOT.  The ball sailed over his head.

His finest performance came July 22, 1936, at Baker Bowl, hitting 3 home runs with 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored in a 4-for-5 day during Philadelphia's 16-4 rout of Pittsburgh.

Notable Streaks: Enjoyed a 23-game hitting streak in 1934 with Philadelphia, going 37-for-96 (.385) with 4 homers and 22 RBIs—the longest of his career.

Comeback Attempt: After eight years in the minors, was recalled by Chicago in September 1945, going 1-for-6 with 2 RBIs. Missed World Series eligibility by just one day.

Career Totals: .307 batting average with 926 hits, 73 home runs, 452 RBIs, and 439 runs across 3,013 at-bats. Played for Cubs (1928-1929, 1931-1932, 1945), Reds (1933-1934), and Phillies (1934-1937).
