Francis Rogers Ellerbe (D. 1988) played for six seasons in the Big Leagues. He played for the Washington Senators from 1919 to 1921, the St. Louis Browns from 1921 to 1924, and the Cleveland Indians in 1924.
Offered is an Official American League (William Harridge) baseball from the Jim Armstrong collection signed on the side panel (toned) by Ellerbe with his traditional “F.R. Ellerbe.” He also wrote his nickname, “Gov” (which we’ve never seen) and “Senators, Browns, Indians.”
