Lloyd Waner was a speedy outfielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates, batting .316 over an 18-year career. He collected 2,459 hits, scored 1,201 runs, and excelled as a leadoff hitter. A Hall of Fame inductee, Waner led the National League in runs in 1932 and was known for consistent contact and defensive reliability.
Offered is a crystal clear original 8” x 10” TYPE I Photo with the International Newsreel stamp on the verso – Circa 1922-28. This image was used to produce his 1934-36 Batter-Up (R318) #17 baseball card.
