Detroit Tigers Hall of Fame player-manager Mickey Cochrane "puts 'em up" with future heavyweight champion Joe Louis in this original Type 1 photo that measures 6.5" x 8.5" in size. Both men were and remain Detroit icons, perhaps accounting for their playful demeanor in the image. Issued by Keystone View in 1935, the offered photo was captured while the fighter prepared for his heavyweight bout against Max Baer, scheduled for September 24, 1935 at Yankee Stadium.
