Vic Raschi (1919-1988), nicknamed "The Springfield Rifle," was a dominant right-handed pitcher for the New York Yankees from 1946-1953. Part of the Yankees' "Big Three" pitching staff with Allie Reynolds and Eddie Lopat, Raschi was the backbone of five consecutive World Series championships (1949-1953). He won exactly 21 games three straight seasons (1949-1951), leading the AL in winning percentage (.724) in 1950 and strikeouts (164) in 1951. A four-time All-Star with a career record of 132-66 (.667 winning percentage) and 3.72 ERA, Raschi posted a 5-3 record with 2.24 ERA in World Series play. He notably allowed Hank Aaron's first MLB hit and home run while with St. Louis in 1954.Offered is a brilliant crystal clear horizontal 8" x 10" original TYPE I photograph of Vic Raschi demonstrating his pitching grip closeup of how he starts his curve ball.Would look great hanging in your mancave!
