The 1941 San Francisco Seals (Detroit Tigers AA team in 1941) finished 81–95, placing fifth in the Pacific Coast League under manager Lefty O’Doul. The club scored 806 runs while allowing 810, with Nanny Fernandez leading the offense by hitting 19 home runs, driving in 129 runs, and posting a .327 average.
On the mound, future Giants star Larry Jansen paced the staff with 16 wins and a standout 2.80 ERA. The roster was loaded with future or former major leaguers, including Ferris Fain, Tony Lazzeri, Roy Partee, Joe Brovia, Bill Cissell, and Tom Seats, highlighting the Seals’ role as a premier talent pipeline.
