1947 Audrey Wagner Kenosha Comets AAGPBL Original TYPE I Photo Snapshot “A League of Their Own”

Audrey Wagner (1927–1984) was one of the AAGPBL’s most dynamic hitters, starring from 1946 to 1952. She earned Player of the Year in 1948, was a two-time All-Star (1947–48), and captured the 1948 batting title. A premier power threat, she led the league in home runs three times (1946–47, 1949) and topped the circuit in RBIs in 1948. A dependable outfielder with speed and instincts, Wagner was among the league’s most complete offensive stars.
