Mildred "Millie" Earp (1925-2017) was a standout pitcher for the Grand Rapids Chicks in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League from 1947-1950. In her 1947 rookie season, she posted a remarkable 20-8 record with a 0.68 ERA-the second-best single-season ERA in league history-and made the All-Star Team. Earp helped Grand Rapids win their first championship title, including a shutout victory in decisive Game 7. She also threw a no-hitter in 1948 and finished her four-year career with a 58-38 record and 1.35 ERA, ranking second all-time in career ERA.
