Offered is a crystal clear 8" x 10" shot of Brooklyn Dodgers pitching stars, Don Newcombe and Billy Loes holding a baseball with the #54 written on it.Both adorn their Brooklyn baseball caps.Loes is in street clothes and Newcombe is interestingly enough pictured in a Dodgers jersey that was worn by Phillip Haugstad in 1951.Taken by legendary Brooklyn Dodgers and Sports Illustrated photographer, Barney Stein.We presume this must have been taken during spring training and Barney asked Don to grab a jersey.Caption on back and signature in pencil in the hand of Barney Stein.Interesting shot!
