The 1955 Milwaukee Braves finished 85–69, placing second in the NL under new manager Charlie Grimm. The season’s stars included Hank Aaron, who broke out with 27 homers and 106 RBI, and Eddie Mathews, who hit 41 home runs. Warren Spahn anchored the pitching staff with 17 wins, while Lew Burdette added 13. The Braves stayed in the pennant race most of the year, boosted by a strong offense and solid starting rotation.
Offered is 1955 Milwaukee Braves yearbook signed by 31 members of the team/organization. The yearbook has one loose page, writing on the cover and in parts of the publication, but the autographs are overall a 9-10/10 and signed by the player’s photos.
All of the autographs were signed in-person for a young collector in the mid-1950s. Virtually all of the signers are now deceased.

Lou Burdette, Gene Conley, Ernie Johnson, Bob Buhl, Ray Crone, Joey Jay, Phil Paine (D. 1978 at age 47) – first Major Leaguer to play in Nippon Professional Baseball in Japan, Don McMahon (D. 1987 at age 57), Bob Trowbridge (D. 1980 at age 49), Humberto Robinson, Bob Giggie, Del Crandall, Charlie White (played in the Negro Leagues prior to his debut with the Braves), Joe Taylor – Braves Equipment Manager starting in 1951 (D. 1960 at age 38 of a heart attack in spring training ) , Joe Adcock, Danny O’Connell (D. 1969 at age 40) Signed Twice, Johnny Logan, Ed Mathews (HOF), Mel Roach, Pete Whisenant, Frank Torre, Hank Aaron (2nd year), Bobby Thomson, Billy Bruton, Andy Pafko, Jim Pendleton, Chuck Tanner, George Metkovich, Blaine Walsh (D. 1985 at age 60) – play-by-play broadcaster for the Braves from 1953-61.
