Ron Hansen (born April 23, 1938) is a former Major League Baseball shortstop and third baseman who played from 1960 to 1972. He appeared with the Baltimore Orioles, Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators, and New York Yankees. Hansen was named American League Rookie of the Year in 1960 with Baltimore after hitting 22 home runs. Later converted to third base, he became a steady regular for the White Sox and was respected for power at an infield position and consistent run production.
Offered is this Louisville Slugger 016 game used bat Ronnie Hansen O16 model with L.B.C.C. markings (we believe this is from Long Beach City College). The #11 is written in black marker on the knob. This was most likely a college player’s bat that was ordered to Ron Hansen’s specs (as we couldn’t find a Hansen connection). Based on the markings this is circa 1961-64.
Measures 33.5” and weighs 34.36 ounces.
This bat derives from the collection of a former minor league baseball player with a direct connection to the California Angels.
