Anthony Strollo (1899–disappeared 1962), also known as “Tony Bender,” was a powerful New York mobster and longtime leader within the Genovese crime family. Rising from Manhattan’s Lower East Side, he became a trusted capo and later underboss, closely aligned with figures like Vito Genovese. Known for his discipline and influence, Strollo played a key role in organized crime operations during the mid-20th century. He vanished on April 8, 1962, in Fort Lee, New Jersey, widely believed to have been murdered during an internal Mafia power struggle.
