The 1965 San Francisco Giants finished 95–67, placing second in the National League. Willie Mays won MVP with 52 home runs and 112 RBI. Juan Marichal went 22–13 with a 2.13 ERA and was involved in a notorious bat attack on John Roseboro. Willie McCovey hit 39 home runs. The Giants finished two games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers.
