The 1967 California Angels finished 84–77, placing fifth in the American League during a tightly packed pennant race. Strong pitching defined the club, led by Dean Chance, George Brunet, and reliever Minnie Rojas, who posted 27 saves. Offensively, Jim Fregosi emerged as the team’s top all-around player, while Rick Reichardt supplied power before a late-season kidney ailment. Despite limited hitting, the Angels stayed competitive into September behind one of the league’s stingiest pitching staffs.

25 Ballpoint signatures (averaging 9/10 in strength) on this almost brand spanking new Official American League (Cronin) baseball are highlighted by:

Bill Rigney (ss), Bill Skowron, Rickey Clark, Pete Cimino, Jack Hamilton, Tom Satriano, Bob “Hawk” Taylor, Jim Weaver, Roger Repoz, Don Heffner (coach), Billy Herman (HOF)(coach), Bob Lemon (HOF)(coach), Mike Roarke (coach), Jim Coates, Bubba Morton, Woodie Held, Minnie Rojas, Don Mincher, Bobby Knoop, Buck Rodgers, Aurelio Rodriguez (D. 2000 at age 52), Bobby Locke, Jim McGlothlin (D. 1975 at age 32), and Curt Simmons (in his only year with the Angels).
