Lefty Gomez (D. 1989) was a dominant Yankees pitcher (1930–42), winning 189 games and leading New York to five World Series titles. A 7× All-Star and 2× pitching Triple Crown winner, he posted a 6–0 World Series record. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972.
