Harmon Killebrew (1936-2011) was a legendary power hitter who played 22 MLB seasons, primarily with the Minnesota Twins. The "Killer" belted 573 home runs, leading the American League six times. He won the 1969 AL MVP award and made 11 All-Star teams. Known for his mammoth home runs and gentlemanly demeanor, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1984.Offered is an uncommon 8" x 10" TYPE I photo of one of the greatest hitters of the 20thcentury out on the field.Rare shot of Killebrew, as one usually finds him in a batting pose.Stamped on the back September 5, 1969 (in a game against the Oakland A's) on the Twins' way to the ALCS. Taken by Robert Stinnett who got his start as a Naval photographer during WW II who later shot baseball and football games for several decades.
