Harmon Killebrew (1936-2011) was a legendary power hitter who played 22 MLB seasons, primarily with the Minnesota Twins. The "Killer" belted 573 home runs, leading the American League six times. He won the 1969 AL MVP award and made 11 All-Star teams. Known for his mammoth home runs and gentlemanly demeanor, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1984.Offered is a picturesque horizontal 8" x 10" photo of Killebrew attempting to field a John Ellis double in a game against the Yankees in May of 1971.Stamped on the back by legendary, Yankees team photographer, Louis Requena whose 50 year photography career culminated on September 15, 2009 in a photo he took of Derek Jeter acknowledging the fans after he tied Lou Gehrig's record for most career hits at Yankee Stadium.
