Harmon Killebrew (1936-2011) was a legendary power hitter who played 22 MLB seasons, primarily with the Minnesota Twins. The "Killer" belted 573 home runs, leading the American League six times. He won the 1969 AL MVP award and made 11 All-Star teams. Known for his mammoth home runs and gentlemanly demeanor, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1984.In the 1971 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, Harmon Killebrew hit a two-run home run as part of a historic game with six home runs, all by future Hall of Famers. The game, played at Tiger Stadium, saw the American League defeat the National League 6-4. This was Killebrew's final All-Star Game appearance, and the only one in which he played first base.Offered is an original TYPE I photograph measuring 8" x 10" in size taken by one of the best photographers in the business, Malcolm Emmons (his period stamp on the back) showing Killebrew watching his round tripper heading for the stands as Johnny Bench stands behind him, watching helplessly.Awesome shot from a movie magic moment!
