1976 Tom Seaver Signed AUTO Multi-Year New York Mets Baseball Contract Hall of Fame

Tom Seaver (D. 2020) was one of the greatest pitchers in baseball history and the defining ace of the New York Mets. A three-time Cy Young Award winner, he led the Mets to the 1969 World Series title and helped establish the franchise’s credibility. Seaver won 311 games, struck out 3,640 batters, and led the National League in ERA three times. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992.

Offered is this historic Multi-Year (1976-78) National League Player Contract with the New York Mets.  Coming off his 1975 Cy Young Season, Tom Terrific re-signed with the Amazing Mets for 3 more years. The contract is made between “METROPOLITAN BASEBALL CLUB, INC. - GEORGE THOMAS SEAVER - GREENWICH, CT” for $225,000. Signed by Seaver in blue ink in our opinion rating a strong 9, Charles S. Feeney in black ink, in our opinion rating a strong 9, and the Mets Vice Pres-GM, Joe McDonald.

In 1976, Tom Seaver made 31 starts for the New York Mets, posting a 14–11 record with a 2.59 ERA over 271 innings. He completed 13 games, threw five shutouts, and struck out a National League best 235 batters. Seaver allowed just 9 home runs, recorded a 1.063 WHIP, earned All Star honors, and finished eighth in Cy Young voting, reaffirming his dominance despite limited run support.
