Jim Fregosi (1942–2014) was a six-time MLB All-Star shortstop best known for his career with the Los Angeles and California Angels. He was the Angels’ first star player, batting over .280 seven times and winning a Gold Glove. Later, he managed the Philadelphia Phillies to the 1993 National League pennant.
