Herschel "Wimpy" Giddens (D. 1959 at age 44) was a tackle out of Louisiana Tech who played in the NFL from 1938 to 1944 for the Eagles and the Boston Yanks.He also played for the Wilmington Clippers in the AFL in those years in between his stints with the Eagles and Yanks in the NFL.We offer a signed Eagles payroll check on the back by Herschel "Wimpy" Giddens and on the front by Pro Football Hall of Famer, Bert Bell (D. 1959).This was his payroll check for the October 16, 1938 game vs the New York Giants.
