Blanton Collier (1906-1983) was a Kentucky-born football coach who achieved remarkable success at both college and professional levels. He coached the University of Kentucky (1954-1961) with a 41-36-3 record and remains their last coach with a winning record. As Cleveland Browns head coach (1963-1970), his teams went 76-34-2 and won the 1964 NFL championship against Baltimore 27-0. Under Collier, the Browns reached four championship games and never had a losing season Known for his integrity and teaching ability, he mentored future coaching legends including Don Shula and Chuck Knox.
