Bobby McDermott (D. 1963 at age 49 due to injuries he suffered in a car accident) was one of basketball's first great professional stars and one of the game's most prolific scorers. A dynamic 5-foot-11 guard, he led three different professional leagues in scoring and became the first player in National Basketball League history to average 20 points per game. McDermott starred with the Original Celtics and Fort Wayne Zollner Pistons, leading the Pistons to three straight World Professional Basketball Tournament titles from 1944–46. In 1946, he was voted the greatest player in basketball history by his peers and sportswriters. He was elected to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1988, 35 years after his death.

Offered is a cut signature that appears to have been taken from a basketball program that has been signed in pencil and mounted to a 3” x 5” index card.

Encapsulated authentic by Beckett and given an AUTO Grade of a 10 out of 10.
