Carl August Braun (D) was an American professional basketball player and coach. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Braun was one of the premier guards of the 1950s and spent 13 seasons in the NBA, all but the last with the New York Knicks. Braun led the Knicks in scoring during his first seven seasons and was named to the All-NBA Second Team in 1948 and 1954. He ended his career in 1962 after winning the championship with the Boston Celtics. Braun played in five NBA All-Star Games and scored 10,625 points in his professional career. Braun was a player-coach for the Knicks in 1960 and 1961 as well, compiling a 40-87 record. For the last 20 years of his life, he would rarely sign autographs through the mail.Braun is one of the tougher Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame autographs to obtain as he rarely signed through the mail for the last 20 years of his life.Pretty much all Braun autographs out there were signed during his playing career. He was elected to the HOF almost 60 years after his career ended. We offer a very hard to come by cut signature from a basketball program back in the mid 1950's in blue ink.Mounted to a 3x5 index card.Encapsulated Authentic by PSA/DNA
