Chico Ruiz (1937–1972) was a Cuban-born infielder best known for stealing home in Game 1 of the 1965 World Series with the Cincinnati Reds. After injuries and limited playing time late in his career, he became a U.S. citizen on January 7, 1972. One month later, Ruiz was killed in a high-speed automobile accident near Rancho Peñasquitos, California, while preparing for spring training. His death ended a promising comeback attempt.

Offered is a game used A113 Louisville Slugger Game Used (heavy usage – pounded) Chico Ruiz bat that was obtained during the 1970-71 seasons when Ruiz was with the Angels.  Number #15 written in black marker on the knob. Measures 35” and weighs 34.5 ounces
