Rogers Hornsby (D. 1963) was one of baseball’s greatest hitters, winning seven National League batting titles, 2 X Triple Crown Winner, 2 X NL HR leader, 4 X NL RBI leader, and was a 2 X MVP award winner. A career .358 hitter, he led the Cardinals to the 1926 World Series and remains MLB’s all-time leader in batting average. He was enshrined into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1942.
