Ferris Fain (D. 2001) was a two-time American League batting champion (1951, 1952) and three-time All-Star with the Philadelphia Athletics. A patient hitter, he led the AL in walks twice. His career declined in the mid-1950s. Later, he was arrested for marijuana possession, a notable post-baseball controversy.
