Harold (Bud) Foster (D. 1996) was the power behind the 1928-30 University of Wisconsin team that compiled a 43-8, three-year record for Hall of Fame coach Walter Meanwell. Bud earned All-Conference honors in 1929 and 1930, and as captain of the 1930 squad, was named All-America. After a brief professional career with the Oshkosh All-Stars, Foster returned to his alma mater as head coach in 1935. Known as "Mr. Wisconsin," Foster led the Badgers to three Big 10 Conference titles and in 1941 captured the NCAA title with an impressive win. A past president of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), Foster was known for teaching his players not only the fundamentals of the game, but also loyalty and sportsmanship. We offer a signed 3x5 card that he personalized (can be matted out) and wrote "Wisconsin 1930" under his signature. He wrote a short note on the back. As a bonus, this comes with the original mailing envelope.
