Honus Wagner (D. 1955) star shortstop for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1897–1917), was an eight-time National League batting champion and led the league in stolen bases five times. A 1909 World Series champion, he retired with a .328 average and 3,420 hits. Inducted into the inaugural Baseball Hall of Fame class in 1936.
Stan Rojek (D. 1997) was a shortstop who played eight MLB seasons (1942–52) with the Dodgers, Pirates, Cardinals, and Browns. He helped Brooklyn win the 1947 NL pennant and finished 10th in 1948 MVP voting after leading the league in games, at-bats, and singles. Known for his kindness, he supported Jackie Robinson during his rookie season.
Offered is a 1948 First Edition book titled, “The Pittsburgh Pirates" by Frederick Lieb measures 6" x 8.5" is 299 pages including black and white photographs and is signed on the blank, first page of by Honus Wagner and Stan Rojek. Rojek has added "Best Wishes" below his name. Both signatures are in 9/10 blue ink. The book is EX and does not have the dust jacket.
If one were to be so inclined, you could easily separate the two autographs and turn the Wagner into a full cut signature (stand alone).
