On October 2, 1961, the first year (and only year) NBA team, Chicago Packers played the Detroit Pistons in an exhibition game at the L.C. Walker Sports Arena in front of 1500 fans in this pre-season game that the Pistons won 93-91 in a buzzer beater, when future HOFer, Bailey Howell sunk two free throws with 3 seconds to go in the game.Future Hall of Famer, Slick Leonard had 17 points for the Packers, while Bailey Howell matched Slick, point for point to end the game at 17.Offered is a SUPER RARE handbill that measures 6" x 8.5" in size (listing the full rosters for both teams - many of whom didn't make the regular season roster). Also advertised for future games are the NHL's Detroit Redwings vs the Hershey Bears and the Muskegon Zephyrs vs. Fort Wayne Komets. We doubt you'll ever see one of these again!
