Satchel Paige & John Beradino Original TYPE I Photo on the Movie Set of the Paige Biopic, “Don’t Look Back”

Offered is an 8” x 10” original TYPE I photo of Baseball Hall of Famer and Negro League legend Satchel Paige pictured on the set of his 1981 made for TV (ABC) biopic of the movie, “Don’t Look Back: The Story of Leroy Satchel Paige.”

Beradino played a coach in the movie, but is perhaps best known for playing Dr. Steve Hardy on daytime tv’s General Hospital. Beradino was perfect for this movie role, as he had actually been a Major League teammate of Satchel’s for the 1948-49 Cleveland Indians and again with the 1951-52 St. Louis Browns.

The photo is printed on period Kodak paper.  We’ve seen modern day reproductions of this photograph, but this is the first period TYPE I photo of the two of these longtime friends and former teammates together.
