Raiders Wallop Broncos, 49–12

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 4 (AP) — Oakland’s Raiders beat the Denver Broncos, 49–12, for their first American Football League exhibition victory Monday in Kezar Stadium.

Quarterback Tom Flores and pocket-sized halfback Jack Larscheid sparked the Raiders against a team that beat them, 48–21, just three weeks ago.

Flores hit end Charlie Hardy on a 44-yard pass play for the Raiders’ first touchdown, while Larscheid, a 158-pound dynamo, plunged two yards for the second score. The little halfback provided the running attack on both first-quarter drives — the first moving 69 yards and the second 58.

Charlie Fuller, recently cut loose by the 49ers, tallied twice for Oakland — on runs of 25 and 28 yards after taking swing passes from rookie quarterback Nick Papac.
