Dazzy Vance (D. 1961) was one of baseball’s dominant strikeout pitchers, leading the National League in strikeouts seven straight seasons. He won the 1924 NL MVP and pitched a no-hitter in 1925. A two-time ERA leader and Brooklyn Dodgers ace, Vance was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1955.
Offered is a super unique 6.5” x 8.5” original TYPE I photo of Vance holding 50 Twenty Dollar Gold pieces in Brooklyn Uniform with the special 1876-1925 Golden Jubilee patch on the front and black arm band on the sleeve honoring the death of team owner, Charles Ebbets who died on April 18, 1925.
