On October 25, 1952 the NY Knicks would play the College All-Stars at Madison Square Garden.Offered is a crystal clear horizonal 8" x 10" original TYPE I photograph from that game. Fantastic action shows #8Nat Sweetwater Clifton landing on the back of then, College All-Star Dick Groat out of Duke who would go on to play a few years for the Lakers and making a name for himself in Major League baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates.Also seen in the shot are #54 Don Meineke out of Dayton who would be a first round pick for the Ft. Wayne Zollner Pistons and the first NBA rookie of the year and #12 future Hall of Famer, Harry Gallatin of the Knicks.Stamped on back by famous photographer, William Jacobellis, whose work if featured on several Topps baseball cards from the 1950s.
