On October 25, 1952 the NY Knicks would play the College All-Stars at Madison Square GardenOffered is a crystal clear horizonal 8" x 10" original TYPE I photograph from that game. Fantastic action shows #12 Vince Boryla of the Knicks doing his pass jump sky-hook shot over #30 Ronnie MacGilvray out of St. John's (drafted in the 4thround of the 1952 draft by the Rochester Royals and would later play for the Milwaukee Hawks). Also seen in the shot are #17 Leroy Leslie out of Notre Dame (who was the 3rdoverall pick in 1952 by the Rochester Royals, but had to serve in the Korean War.He would later play for the Harlem Globetrotters). Also seen in a defensive pose, is Basketball HOFer and NBA African American pioneer #8 Sweetwater Clifton.Stamped on back by famous photographer, William Jacobellis, whose work if featured on several Topps baseball cards from the 1950s.
